Sunshine Shootout and Mother's Day

The 2008 Sunshine Shootout went off with a bang this passed weekend. Five different age groups participated in this event held in Polk County, Florida. A total of 26 teams came together to battle it out for the championship over a two day period.
Sunday was not only the seed play but was also Mother's Day. Florida ISA surprised all when they showed up at the park with 350 Carnations for the girls to give to the Mother's. It was a plesant surprise to say the least. All of the teams, parents, games and staff took a moment to honor and thank all of the Mothers that were at the event. ISA is pleased to have been apart fo everyone's Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day from ISA!

Elligibility ---- ISA States & Worlds

All Florida teams that wish to go to ISA Worlds in 2008 must attend Florida ISA States.

ISA 'A' STATES ---- A '2' Day event in Winter Haven/Auburndale June 28th thru June 29th. A 2 Game Seed ( begins Saturday morning ) into a Double Elimination that will begin Saturday Afternoon and conclude on Sunday.

ELLIGIBILITY ---- 'A' teams must be ISA Sanctioned to play in ‘A’ States

ISA 'B' STATES ---- A '3' Day event in Ft Myers. June 20th thru June 22nd. On Friday all teams will play their 2 Seed Games. Games Friday begin at 8;00 AM. Double Elimination will begin on Saturday and conclude on Sunday.

ELLIGIBILITY : 'B' teams must be ISA sanctioned to play in ‘B’ States & have played in no less than 1 weekend tournament during the qualification period May 3rd thru June 15th +++ 'B' teams must receive their State Directors approval to play as a ‘B’ team.

The ISA is happy to announce that we have launched a new website just for Fast Pitch. Now, before we get to far ahead of ourselves, let us say that this is still a work in progress. The site is not yet complete, however over the next few weeks you will see more features and tools being added.

Our plans include a variety of additions to the site, but most importantly, we will be adding a full list of State Websites for Fast Pitch only! In the very near future, we will be removing all fast pitch data from the existing state websites and launching new sites. You can check back here for updates or your current state site. But don't worry; we will make it as painless of a transition as possible.

You will also find other features such as photo galleries, tournament results, online rosters and team pages just to name a few. The entire staff of ISA is excited about upgrading our fast pitch presence on the web, and we are anticipating a lot more coverage and information will be available.

We would like to thank you for being a part of the ISA and being patient as we transition over to our new FP Network.
